Description

Alkaline phosphatase, mouse recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.

A hydrolase enzyme responsible for removing phosphate groups

Biomolecule/Target: Alpl

Alternates names: Alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme, Alpl, Akp-2, Akp2, ALP, APTNAP, TNAP, TNSALP, HOPS

Synonyms: Alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme, Alpl, Akp-2, Akp2, ALP, APTNAP, TNAP, TNSALP, HOPS

Background Information: Alpl, also known as alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme, is one of alkaline phosphatases. There are at least four distinct but related alkaline phosphatases: intestinal, placental, placental-like, and liver/bone/kidney (tissue-nonspecific). The product of this gene is a membrane-bound glycosylated enzyme that is not expressed in any particular tissue and is, therefore, referred to as the tissue-nonspecific form of the enzyme. A proposed function of this form of the enzyme is matrix mineralization. Recombinant mouse Alpl, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
