S-adenosylmethionine synthetase (AdoMetS), Active, E. coli Recombinant
- SKU:
- P1211-50
Description
S-adenosylmethionine synthetase (AdoMetS), Active, E. coli Recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
Catalyzes the formation of AdoMet from methionine and ATP
Biomolecule/Target: S-adenosylmethionine synthase
Alternates names: Methionine adenosyltransferase, AdoMet synthetase, MAT
Synonyms: Methionine adenosyltransferase, AdoMet synthetase, MAT
Background Information: S-Adenosylmethionine synthase, (AdoMetS), (E.C. 2.5.1.6) catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) from methionine and ATP. The overall synthetic reaction is composed of two sequential steps, AdoMet formation and the subsequent tripolyphosphate hydrolysis which occurs prior to release of AdoMet from the enzyme. BioVision’s active AdoMetS is suitable for functional assays, high-throughput screening and preclinical studies in drug discovery.
