Description
IGF-BP1, human recombinant (new size) is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A protein which binds and prolongs the half-life of the IGFs
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: IBP-1, IGF-Binding Protein 1, AFBP, PP12, IGF-BP25, hIGFBP-1, IGFBP-1.
Synonyms: IBP-1, IGF-Binding Protein 1, AFBP, PP12, IGF-BP25, hIGFBP-1, IGFBP-1.
Background Information: Human IGF-BP1 is a 25.4 kDa cysteine-rich secreted protein expressed in liver, decidual, and kidneys and is the most abundant IGF-BP in amniotic fluid. Levels of IGF-BP1 in serum are lowest after food. IGF-BP1 binds both IGF-I and IGF-II with equal affinity. Phosphorylated IGF-BP1 hinders IGF actions, whereas nonphosphorylated IGF-BP1 is stimulatory. Recombinant human IGF-BP1 is a single, glycosylated protein consisting of 218 amino acid residues.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and store at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
