Description: Recombinant, HIS-tagged, purified Ebola virus (EBOV) matrix protein (VP24) is
expressed in E. coli and the recombinant protein purified using FPLC.
Storage: -80°C. It is recommended to dispense single-use aliquots and store aliquots at -80°C to
avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Size: 100 µg of protein is supplied in Tris buffered saline, at a concentration of 2.279 mg/mL. The theoretical molecular weight of the protein is ~25 kDa.
Relevance: Recombinant EBOV VP24 matrix protein provides a means as a control protein for immunoassays and a tool to enhance Filovirus research.
SDS-PAGE: Quality control testing shows a prominent protein band above 20 kDa (VP24).

Anti-EBOV VP24 antibody (0301-047) at 100
ng/mL detected 100 ng of EBOV rVP24 (lane 1) by
Western Blot Analysis. Western Blots were
developed using an anti-rabbit IgG-HRP conjugate

ELISA Data:
rVP24 protein was diluted to 3 µg/mL in PBS for
plate coating. Anti-EBOV VP40 antibody was
serially diluted semi-log from 10 µg/mL and
incubated on the coated plates. Washed plates
were detected with anti-rabbit IgG-HRP conjugate
and TMB substrate. OD650 is reported above.
