Description

Anti-ST2 Detection Antibodyis available at Gentaur for Next week Delivery.

Description: Suppressor of tumorigenicity (ST2) belongs to the interleukin 1 family of receptors. It exists in two isoforms: soluble form (sST2) found circulating in the plasma and transmembrane receptor form (ST2L). This protein is expressed by cardiomyocytes and vascular endothelial cells. Binding of ST2L to its ligand IL-33, prevents hypertrophy of the myocardium and fibrosis. However, sST2 competes with ST2L to bind to IL-33 and upon binding its ligand, neutralizes the cardioprotective effects of IL-33 and ST2L. Elevated levels of sST2 are associated with ventricular remodeling, fibrosis and chronic heart failure.
