Description
Recombinant Human Myoglobin is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A haemoprotein expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: PVALB
Synonyms: PVALB
Background Information: Myoglobin is a globular haemoprotein that is primarily responsible for the storage and transport of oxygen in muscles. It is a member of the globin superfamily and is predominantly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscles. It is released from damaged muscle tissue and from the myocardium during acute myocardial infarction. However, it has low specificity for myocardial infarction and therefore other clinical findings are also taken into consideration during diagnosis.
