Description

Pleiotrophin (PTN), human recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.

A heparin-binding growth factor

Biomolecule/Target: Pleiotrophin

Alternates names: PTN, Heparin Affin Regulatory Protein, HARP, Heparin-binding growth factor-8, HBGF-8, Osteoblast-Specific Factor-1, OSF-1, Heparin-binding growth-associated molecule, HB-GAM, HBNF-1 Heparin-binding brain mitogen, Heparin-binding neurite outgrowth-promoting factor 1, HBBM, NEGF1.

Synonyms: PTN, Heparin Affin Regulatory Protein, HARP, Heparin-binding growth factor-8, HBGF-8, Osteoblast-Specific Factor-1, OSF-1, Heparin-binding growth-associated molecule, HB-GAM, HBNF-1 Heparin-binding brain mitogen, Heparin-binding neurite outgrowth-promoting factor 1, HBBM, NEGF1.

Background Information: Human Pleiotrophin (PTN) also called HARP (Heparin affin regulatory peptide) is a new member of the heparin-binding neurotrophic factor family. PTN (Pleiotrophin) and MK (midkine) are structural homologs, and are highly conserved among species. PTN plays an important role in development processes and promotion of neurite extension. Recombinant human PTN is a His-tag fusion protein (17.3 kDa) containing 136 amino acid residues of the PTN.

Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
