Description

PGP, human recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.

Plays a role in regulating glucose, lipid and energy metabolism

Biomolecule/Target: PGP

Alternates names: Phosphoglycolate phosphatase, Glycerol-3-phosphate phosphatase, G3PP, Aspartate-based ubiquitous Mg(2+)-dependent phosphatase, AUM

Synonyms: Phosphoglycolate phosphatase, Glycerol-3-phosphate phosphatase, G3PP, Aspartate-based ubiquitous Mg(2+)-dependent phosphatase, AUM

Background Information: Phosphoglycolate phosphatase, also known as PGP, is detected in all tissues including red cells, lymphocytes and cultured fibroblasts (at protein level). The catalytic activity of PGP is 2-phosphoglycolate + H2O = glycolate + phosphate. The highest activities occur in skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle. Recombinant human PGP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
