Description
NMNAT2, human recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
Catalyzes an essential step in NAD (NADP) biosynthetic pathway
Biomolecule/Target: NMNAT2
Alternates names: Nicotinamide mononucleotide Adenylyltransferase 2, C1orf15, PNAT2
Synonyms: Nicotinamide mononucleotide Adenylyltransferase 2, C1orf15, PNAT2
Background Information: NMNAT2 belongs to the nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase (NMNAT) enzyme family, members of which catalyze an essential step in NAD (NADP) biosynthetic pathway. Unlike the other human family member, which is localized to the nucleus, and is ubiquitously expressed; this enzyme is cytoplasmic, and is predominantly expressed in the brain. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant human NMNAT2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
