A chemotactic cytokine
Biomolecule/Target: MIP-2/Gro-beta
Alternates names: Macrophage inflammatory protein 2-α, MIP2-α, CXCL2, Growth- regulated protein β, Gro-β, chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2, GRO2, GROb, MIP2, MIP2A, SCYB2, MGSA-b, MIP-2a, CINC-2a, MGSA β,
Synonyms: Macrophage inflammatory protein 2-α, MIP2-α, CXCL2, Growth- regulated protein β, Gro-β, chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2, GRO2, GROb, MIP2, MIP2A, SCYB2, MGSA-b, MIP-2a, CINC-2a, MGSA β,
Background Information: Murine microphage inflammatory protein-2 (MIP-2) promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. BioVision’s murine MIP-2 is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 73 amino acid residues including the ‘RLR’ motif common to the CXC chemokine family that bind to CXCR1 or CXCR2.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/ml. The solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers
NCBI Gene Symbol: CXCL2
