Specificity:
Alternative Names: P0C2E9
Immunogen: Recombinant Clostridium perfringens Perfringolysin O protein (29-500AA)
Technical Notes: For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures, drug use, or for administration to humans or animals.
Application: ELISA, WB; Recommended dilution: WB:1:500-1:5000
Restriction:
Comments: Preservative: 0.03% Proclin 300; Constituents: 50% Glycerol, 0.01M PBS, PH 7.4; Sulfhydryl-activated toxin that causes cytolysis by forming pores in cholesterol containing host membranes. After binding to target membranes, the protein assembles into a pre-pore complex. A conformation change leads to insertion in the host membrane and formation of an oligomeric pore complex. Cholesterol may be required for binding to host cell membranes, membrane insertion and pore formation. Can be reversibly inactivated by oxidation.
