Description: Caspase-7 is a 34 kDa protein consisting of two subunits and a short prodomain. The procaspase-7 can be activated by cleavage by upstream caspases to form active caspase-7 in apoptosis. Once activated, caspase-7 cleaves many of the same substrates as caspase-3, including poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs).

Application And Usages:Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects the full length (35-37 kDa) and the large fragment (20-25 kDa) of processed caspase-7 by Western blotting. Mouse small intestine tissue lysate can be used as a positive control.

Handling:The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
