Description
Retinol Binding Protein (RBP4), Human Urine is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
An important transporter of retinol in the bloodstream
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: Retinol binding protein 4; plasma retinol-binding protein; MCOPCB10; RDCCAS; PRBP; RBP
Synonyms: Retinol binding protein 4; plasma retinol-binding protein; MCOPCB10; RDCCAS; PRBP; RBP
Background Information: Retinol binding protein (RBP4) is the specific carrier for retinol (vitamin A) in the blood. RBP4 delivers retinol from the liver to peripheral tissues. In plasma, RBP4 complexed with retinol interacts with transthyretin which prevents its loss by filtration through kidney glomeruli. RBP4 then transfers the retinol to other factors to facilitate retinol transport across the cell membrane.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute using phosphate buffer with 0.15 M NaCl, pH > 7.0
