Description
Recombinant Coronavirus Nucleoprotein (CoV-NP 229E) is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
Plays a role in viral assembly and subgenomic viral RNA transcription and replication
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: Nucleoprotein, Nucleocapsid protein, NC, N
Synonyms: Nucleoprotein, Nucleocapsid protein, NC, N
Background Information: Human coronavirus 229E is a single-stranded, positive-sense, RNA virus species in the genus Alphacoronavirus of the subfamily Coronavirinae, in the family Coronaviridae, of the order Nidovirales. The coronavirus genome encodes a spike protein (S), an envelope protein, a membrane protein, and a nucleoprotein in this order. Nucleoprotein packages the positive strand viral genome RNA into a helical ribonucleocapsid (RNP) and plays a fundamental role during virion assembly through its interactions with the viral genome and membrane protein M. It also plays an important role in enhancing the efficiency of subgenomic viral RNA transcription as well as viral replication.
