Description
Proteinase K, Recombinant, Molecular Grade is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A serine protease which inactivates nucleases
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: Protease K, Endopeptidase K, Tritirachium alkaline proteinase, Molecular Biology grade Proteinase K
Synonyms: Endopeptidase K, Tritirachium alkaline proteinase
Background Information: A serine protease that displays the ability to digest native proteins, thereby inactivating enzymes such as DNase and RNase without recourse to a denaturation process. It retains its activity in presence of SDS and urea. It is inactivated by diisopropyl fluorophosphates (DFP) and phenyl methane sulfonyl fluoride (PMSF).
Reconstitution Instructions: In 50 mM Tris-HCl, 2 mM Calcium acetate, pH 8.0.
NCBI Gene Symbol: PROK
