Description
Ornithine Decarboxylase, Human Recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
Catalyzes the conversion of ornithine into putrescine
Biomolecule/Target: ODC
Alternates names: ODC, ODC1
Synonyms: ODC, ODC1
Background Information: ODC is pyridoxal phosphate dependent amino acid deacarboxylase, which catalyzes the conversion of ornithine to putrescine. It is the first and rate-limiting step in the polyamine biosynthetic pathway. Polyamines are involved in processes such as cell growth, differentiation and synthesis of macromolecules. Overexpression of ODC is known to play role in cancers and inflammation.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in 50% Glycerol with 5 mM DTT and incubate at 25 ºC for 30 minutes.
NCBI Gene Symbol: ODC1
Gene ID: 4953
NCBI Accession: P11926
