Description
MIF, human recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A protein which triggesr an acute immune response
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: Phenylpyruvate tautomerase, Glycosylation-inhibiting factor, GIF, MMIF, MIF, Glycosylation-inhibiting factor, L-dopachrome isomerase, L-dopachrome tautomerase, Phenylpyruvate tautomerase.
Synonyms: Phenylpyruvate tautomerase, Glycosylation-inhibiting factor, GIF, MMIF, MIF.
Background Information: The cytokine Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) has been identified to be secreted by the pituitary gland and the monocyte/macrophage and to play an important role in endotoxic shock. MIF has the unique property of being released from macrophages and T cells in response to physiological concentrations of glucocorticoids. The secretion of MIF is tightly regulated and decreases at high, anti-inflammatory steroid concentration. Recombinant human MIF is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 115 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 12.5 kDa.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in sterile dH₂O to a concentration of 0.1 -1 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
