Chemoattractant for monocytes and basophils
Biomolecule/Target: MCP-1/CCL2
Alternates names: Small inducible cytokine A2, CCL2, Monocyte chemotactic protein 1, MCP-1, Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1, Monocyte chemotactic and activating factor, MCAF, Monocyte secretory protein JE, HC11, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2, MCP1, SCYA2, GDCF-2, SMC-CF, HSMCR30, MGC9434, GDCF-2 HC11, Immediate-early serum-responsive JE protein.
Synonyms: Small inducible cytokine A2, CCL2, Monocyte chemotactic protein 1, MCP-1, Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1, Monocyte chemotactic and activating factor, MCAF, Monocyte secretory protein JE, HC11, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2, MCP1, SCYA2, GDCF-2, SMC-CF, HSMCR30, MGC9434, GDCF-2 HC11, Immediate-early serum-responsive JE protein.
Background Information: Murine JE (also known as Macrophage/Monocyte Chemotactic Protein) is a 13.8 kDa protein containing 125 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue microphages.
Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers or stored at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
