Description
EZSolution™ Proteinase K is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A serine protease which inactivates nucleases
Biomolecule/Target:
Alternates names: Protease K, Endopeptidase K, Tritirachium alkaline proteinase
Synonyms: Protease K, Endopeptidase K, Tritirachium alkaline proteinase
Background Information: A serine protease that displays the ability to digest native proteins, thereby inactivating enzymes such as DNase and RNase without recourse to a denaturation process. It is useful for a variety of applications such as isolation of DNA and RNA, preparation of chromosomal DNA, etc. It retains its activity in the presence of SDS and urea. It is inactivated by diisopropyl fluorophosphates (DFP) and phenyl methane sulfonyl fluoride (PMSF).
