Description
Catalase, Human Recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.
A key antioxidant enzyme in the bodies’ defense against oxidative stress
Biomolecule/Target: CAT
Alternates names: CAT
Synonyms: CAT
Background Information: CAT is a key antioxidant enzyme in the bodies’ defense against oxidative stress. Also, it is a heme enzyme that is present in the peroxisome of nearly all aerobic cells. CAT converts the reactive oxygen species hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen and thereby mitigates the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide. Recombinant human CAT protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Reconstitution Instructions: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in deionized water, store at 4°C and use within 2 weeks after reconstitution.
NCBI Gene Symbol: CAT
