Description
Phospho-Akt Antibodyis available at Gentaur for Next week Delivery.
Description: Akt, also referred to as PKB and RAC, is the cellular homologue of the viral oncogene v-Akt. This protein kinase is activated by insulin and various growth factors and functions in a pathway involving PI3 kinase as activation is sensitive to wortmanin. Recent evidence sμggests that Akt functions to promote cell survival by actively inhibiting apoptosis, althoμgh the pathways involved have not been identified. Akt is activated by phospholipid binding and phosphorylation within the activation loop at Thr308 and within the C-terminus at Ser473.
Immunogen Sequence:Synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser473 of mouse Akt
Target Alternative Name:RAC serine/threonine-protein kinase; DRAC-PK; Dakt1; DAkt; Protein kinase B; PKB
Species Reactivities:Human, mouse, rat
Tag Line:/
Formulation:100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) peptide affinity purified rabbit anti-Phopho-Akt (Ser473) polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.
Purification: Affinity purified
Application:Western blot, Immunoprecipitation
Positive Control:/
Application And Usages:Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml) and immunoprecipitation (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The phospho-Akt (Ser473) antibody detects Akt1 when phosphorylated at Ser473 and Akt2 and Akt3 when phosphorylated at equivalent sites.
Handling:The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
