Description

Human CellExp™ Akt1 Protein (His Tagged & Strep Tagged), human recombinant is available at Gentaur for Next week delivery.

One of 3 serine/threonine-protein kinases that regulate many process including metabolism, proliferation, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis.

Biomolecule/Target: Akt1

Alternates names: RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase, AKT1, PKB, RAC, RAC-PK-alpha, PKB alpha, Proto-oncogene cAkt

Synonyms: RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase, AKT1, PKB, RAC, RAC-PK-alpha, PKB alpha, Proto-oncogene cAkt

Background Information: AKT1 is one of 3 closely related serine/threonine-protein kinases (AKT1, AKT2 and AKT3) called the AKT kinase, and which regulate many processes including metabolism, proliferation, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis. This is mediated through serine and/or threonine phosphorylation of a range of downstream substrates. AKT regulates also the storage of glucose in the form of glycogen by phosphorylating GSK3A at 'Ser-21' and GSK3B at 'Ser-9', resulting in inhibition of its kinase activity.

Reconstitution Instructions: Reconstitute in sterile deionized water to a stock solution of 200 µg/mL. Solubilize for 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature with occasional gentle mixing. Carrier protein (0.1% (W/V) HSA or BSA) is recommended for further dilution and long term storage.
